In the book of Ezekiel the prophet describes Lucifer in detail using “the king of Tyre” widely believed to describe the rebellious Lucifer:
You were the seal of perfection,
Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
You were in Eden, the Garden of G-D;
Every precious stone was your covering:
The Sardis, topaz, and diamond,
Beryl, onyx, and jasper,
Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold.
The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes
Was prepared for you on the day you were created.
You were the anointed Cherub who covers.
I established you;
You were on the Holy Mountain of G-D;
You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones.
You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created.
‘Til iniquity was found in you.
The prophet Isaiah says of Lucifer, “you thought to yourself, “I will scale the heavens, I will sit on the Mount of Assembly far away in the north. I will rise past the tops of the clouds. I will make myself like the Most High.”
